Hi, I’m Axel, the latest dog to be rescued and placed with a veteran through VCAS!
I am a one-year-old, 31.5-pound Beagle who is very relaxed. I was found as a stray in Gallia County with my buddy, Willow, who had just been placed with another VCAS veteran, Tim. Gigi’s brought me in assessed me for any medical needs, and got me ready for placement.
My new dad, Thomas, is a Navy veteran. He was looking for a companion, and had hunting dogs previously, so was excited about a Beagle. It was important to him and his wife that I would get along with their cats and grandson who visits often. Thanks to Gigi’s help, I passed the test!
