Stevy is an Army veteran who recently lost her heart dog. She reached out to VCAS for help filling that gap in her heart. She was looking for a medium dog who would be happy to snuggle on the couch with her one day and then be ready to go for a hike or kayak the next day. Little did we know that a dog was already at Gigi’s Animal Shelter who would fit the bill for Stevy. Cricket is a one-year-old 40-pound mixed breed dog from Gallia County who will enthusiastically holler “hello” to you. VCAS sends heartfelt thanks to Lauren who provided a home for Cricket while she was in foster. Our fosters are worth their weight in gold to VCAS as they help us learn more about the dogs we meet.
