Hi, I’m Murphy, a rescue dog, and I am finally home thanks to all of you!
You may recognize my new dad, Mark Harris. He is an Air Force and Army National Guard veteran who came to VCAS in 2020 looking for a dog and adopted Winston, an Anatolian Shepherd mix. They were a wonderful match and his calmness was very helpful to Mark. Unfortunately, after being great companions for a couple of years, Winston was stricken with cancer and passed away.
After some time, Mark reached back out to VCAS to let them know he was ready for another dog, this is where I come in…I am a calm, yet playful, 3-year-old 60-pound dog. I was found as a stray in Gallia County before being brought to Gigi’s. They think I am a mix of a poodle and a labrador.
A special thank you to Shari and her family for fostering me! I am so excited to be home.
