We found the “sweetest” dog for Allen! Allen, a Marine veteran, came to VCAS looking for a medium sized dog to add to the life that he shares with his wife. Meet Sweets – a one year old, 33 pound dog who appears to be an Australian shepherd mix found as a stray in Meigs County. She was then transported to the Humane Society of Delaware County where they discovered just how “sweet” she is and aptly named her. At their Meet & Greet, Sweets was quick to lean in to Allen to encourage him to pet her and we were so happy to see their connection. Special thanks to Sweets’ foster Lori and her daughter who worked with Sweets on feeling better about stairs and her crate. Our fosters have an important role in our program and we appreciate their support.
